๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: The products in this Omega photoshoot were chosen in gold colors that suit the Christmas season.
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: Exactly. Lately, gold has been gaining popularity. I used to not wear watches because my wrists were thin, but I became interested in watches after having a connection with Omega. Especially, after Omega gifted me a watch that suits me, I started wearing it regularly.
๐๐.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: Your wrists are really thin.
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: That's right. (Raising the arm) Like this, the strap doesn't show. (laughs) So, that's why I often wear it over my clothes. Among the watches I tried on today, I liked the Constellation Gold watch that I wore on top of my clothes the most.
๐๐.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: Yes, wearing it over clothes would indeed be comfortable. Before coming here, I read your blog post and found it very interesting. You write really well. There are no awkward phrases, and I could see the effort you put into making it easy for readers to understand.
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: That... wasn't easy. When I write a blog post, I go through the cycle of writing, deleting, rewriting, and deleting again. I jot down the stories I want to tell in a continuous flow, then delete parts that I feel are unnecessary, and also remove sections that might confuse readers. I try to let fans who come to my blog read clean and compact posts. If the text gets too long (worried that fans) might find it boring, so I focus on quality rather than quantity. That's my mindset.
๐๐.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: That is also a kind attitude towards others.
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: Starting from this year, while writing, I hoped that my emotions wouldn't be fully conveyed to the fans. When I'm going through tough or happy times and writing, I thought it would be good if the emotions of that moment to not be revealed as much as possible in the writing. I wanted to avoid expressing sad emotions or difficult feelings, and I wanted to minimize worries caused by me as much as possible.
๐๐.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: Almost every post has received over 4,500 comments. The reactions surpassed the limit number of 9,900, and the count stopped. I've never seen a blog with such lively responses before.
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: (Laughs) I've been doing it for a long time. I've been blogging since before my debut. I still find it more comfortable to express myself through the blog rather than Instagram.
๐๐.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: I had the impression that the music and movie preferences posted on the blog were from a generation similar to mine. Artists like Mogwai, Feist, and The Kooks are the kind of music that indie music fans among the so-called X generation used to listen to. I'm curious how you developed such a taste.
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: Is that so? When I was in middle school, the first music I consciously started listening to was Nirvana, Radiohead, and Oasis. From there, it flowed naturally, leading me to artists like Feist and Mogwai.
๐ฌ๐ณ.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: But... those songs are the music I heard in real-time when I was in middle school. Radiohead's second album was just released when I was in my second year of middle school. It's interesting because there's a difference of over 10 years between Sohee and me.
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: When I think about it, there weren't many friends who listened to music similar to mine. I think I was a bit unusual. I had a tendency not to deliberately listen to what others were enthusiastically praising as 'It's good, it's good.' That's the kind of kid. The one who always wears earphones at school and spends the whole day listening to music. (laughs) That was me. I was interested in music during my school days, but I also liked to draw. However, to draw, you need to see a lot of things. I watched music videos, went to art exhibitions, and watched movies frequently. At that time, it seemed like I watched everything I could without being picky.
๐ฌ๐ด.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: No wonder... the recent movie you watched was "I've Loved You for a Long Time," right? I think you also go to the movie theater often.
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: That's right. I really like to roam around art film theaters and visit actual art exhibitions alone. These days, media art is quite active, and there are cases where people prefer to appreciate works online rather than seeing them in person. However, I prefer to go and see things in person as much as possible.
๐ฌ๐ต.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: While watching "I've Loved You for a Long Time," what thoughts did you have?
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: This is a story outside of the movie. However, it's a concern of mine that people who challenge themselves to make such films might gradually disappear. As science fiction or blockbuster movies become commercially dominant, I worry that films like 'I've Loved You for a Long Time,' which, when watched, leave with an indescribable emotion, a tightness in the chest, might gradually lose their place.
๐ญ๐ฌ.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: Such stories often come up during interviews with filmmakers.
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: I don't know the answer either. However, it's not possible to make a film without considering the audience.
๐ญ๐ญ.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: That's right. What was the best part of the movie?
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: Kristin Scott Thomas, who played Juliet, had very expressive eyes. Even without saying a word, her gaze conveyed the years she had experienced. Even when she was smiling, it felt like she was crying and somehow, her shadow seemed darker than others '. In fact, for some viewers, it could be a very unfriendly movie.
๐ญ๐ฎ.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: That's right. Until the movie is almost over, you keep wondering why Juliet is like that.
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: But after that story is revealed, your heart really feels heavy, doesn't it?
๐ญ๐ฏ.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: On the other hand, you also like hip musicians like DPR (Dream Perfect Regime), right?
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: That's right. I just listen to everything and watch everything without discrimination.
๐ญ๐ฐ.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: However, what's interesting is that even in the midst of that, I feel a consistency in your taste, don't you think?
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: I don't really know that either. But I know for sure, my taste is firm. But if you ask me what my taste is, I don't know how to explain it. It might sound a bit strange, but I like something a bit 'strict.'
๐ญ๐ฑ.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: Strict thing... to be strict... What does it mean?
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: It's a somewhat abstract expression, but there are certain things that I feel are a bit 'strict.' On a broad scale, it might be minor, but it's not really that minor. Nirvana, Radiohead, and Oasis were considered minor among my peers, but in reality, they were artists at the very top of their era. However, I can't really put my music taste into words.
T/N: So, "์ํ๋ค" in Korean can mean both "strict" and "intense." I went with "strict" because it felt like a better fit since Sohee was talking about specific rules or standards in her music taste. If she were talking more about the strength or depth, I'd go with "intense."
๐ญ๐ฒ.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: Perhaps, I'm guessing that 'strict' could be referring to works created by people who were sincere.
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: I can say it's similar. It might be easier to explain through movies. When I feel like something is crazy, that's when I enjoy the movie. For example, while some people watch a film and logically understand every scene, in my case, after intensely experiencing just one scene as if it penetrated through my body, I understand the intentions behind every other scene. 'I've Loved You for a Long Time' was like that, and Lars von Trier's 'Melancholia' was also such a movie. While watching and thinking, 'What on earth is it trying to say?' As soon as one scene passes through me, I just understand everything the director was trying to convey. What all that is, I can't express it in words though.
๐ญ๐ณ.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: Is there a movie you recently watched and would recommend?
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: Among the ones I've recently watched, I really liked 'Detachment.' Adrien Brody played the role of a teacher. The movie clearly deals with the story of education. Through the perspective of one man, one human, it quite straightforwardly shows the impact of this 'education' on the person who becomes the subject. While watching this movie, I liked the message that ultimately, education and the environment can change you and me. It eventually expands into a universal message that you are like me, and I am like you.
๐ญ๐ด.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: Why haven't I watched that work yet?
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: Be sure to watch it. It will be fun.
๐ญ๐ต.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: By the way, finally, the long-awaited December has come. The highly-anticipated "Gyeongseong Creature" is soon to be released.
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: I hope it hasn't come yet. Honestly, my feelings are currently divided in half. One part of me is eager for December to come quickly so I can watch it, and the other part is hoping it hasn't come yet because I'm so nervous and scared.
๐ฎ๐ฌ.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: Do you always feel this nervous whenever a new work is released?
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: No, that's not the case.
๐ฎ๐ญ.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: Then... is it because it's such a big project?
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: No, it's not that either. 'Gyeongseong Creature' Season 1 is a project I did in my 20s. The first season shot about two years ago from now, is being released. So, I don't remember anything. I don't remember how I acted in those scenes, what expression I had, how Park Seo-joon Sunbae acted, and I don't even remember the story. It's like waking up with amnesia, and someone saying, 'You shot a movie two years ago, and it's about to be released.' When I watch it, I might have a reaction like, 'Huh? 'I shot this?' (laughs) After that, I might fall into a state where I can't make subjective or objective evaluations. Although I don't remember shooting it, what's visible to everyone isstill 'me.'
๐ฎ๐ฎ.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: Oh... I kind of understand what that feels like.
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: At this point, the only things I can rely on are the director and Seo-joon sunbae.
๐ฎ๐ฏ.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: There are works like 'DP' and 'Kingdom' where Season 2 production was confirmed before Season 1 was even released. They are all masterpieces.
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: Our production has also finished making Season 2, so it will become a masterpiece.
๐ฎ๐ฐ.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: You haven't seen the creatures yet, right?
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: I haven't seen them. Actually, it was my first time standing in front of a green screen and doing chroma key shooting like this. It wasn't easy at first. However, in situations where there is a wall instead of a person, I later experienced less tension and sometimes an enhanced imagination.
๐ฎ๐ฑ.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: Sohee's character Yoon Chae-ok has a unique occupation, right?
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: Yes. She appears as a 'Todukkun,' a person skilled in finding others, with a sharp intuition and there is no one she can't find. It will probably be a completely different image from what I have shown so far.
๐ฎ๐ฒ.
๐ฃ๐ฆ๐: You know that the fans have been waiting for a long time, right? There have been too few works released during that time.
๐ฆ๐ข๐๐๐: I know, I know. But there was no choice. I've been filming continuously. (laughs)
